Growth Groups
A crucial part of the life of our church are our ‘Growth Groups', where a small group of people meet together weekly to study the Bible, pray, and care for one another. We encourage all adults in church life to be part of one of these, so that we can care for each other to the highest standard. To join, contact us below.
Men
As men we have particular pressures and opportunities in life, and during the year we provide opportunities for spending time together and learning together how to honour Christ in our lives.
In addition to several men’s groups which meet weekly, we have curry nights, men’s breakfasts, and the annual trip together to the Christchurch Men’s Convention.
Women
Women at Latimer Church meet together regularly to encourage one another to live Christ-centered lives, to study Scripture and to pray and care for each other. They do this in small groups at various times throughout the week, at Women on Wednesday (see below), at weekends away, and at the annual Women's Christian Convention.
Women on Wednesday is a morning bible study for ladies of all ages. We meet at 12 Berwick St from 9:30am for coffee and then split into smaller growth groups. A full creche is provided in the adjacent hall. Over the morning we aim to provide friendship, prayer, teaching and support as we seek to know and serve God better.
TIME: 9.30-11.30am
DAY: Wednesday (breaks over School Holidays)

Young Adults
Many of our Young Adults attend the 7pm service and meet together in various Growth Groups throughout the year. Once a year, over Show Weekend, a group of about 80 of us head away to Hanmer Springs. Keep an eye on our events page to see what's coming up!
